Best Places to Watch Fireworks this Independence Day

It is a preoccupation of most Americans, come late June, as to determine where the best Independence Day fireworks display will be. After all, we love our country and want to celebrate its birth as loudly and as spectacularly as possible. The answer to that question becomes harder when you choose to vacation over the holiday. You’re not familiar with the area, after all, and may not know. Luckily, you have us to help with that! If you’re traveling with us this year, here are the best places to get the most bang for your buck.

Orlando

Obviously, the best show in O-town when it comes to fireworks is the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. They’re sort of experts at it, seeing as they fire them off every day of the year, some nights twice; and they pay even more attention to their yearly Independence Day fireworks. Their show is sweeping, patriotic, inspiring, and for small children, absolutely mesmerizing. They perform the show on nights before and after the holiday so you don’t have to worry about the crowd on the Fourth of July. Park admission is required, of course.

Branson

Fireworks displays over lakes are the best. They offer a 360 degree viewing area so the most amount of people can see them. You can experience just such an Independence Day fireworks show in Branson, over Table Rock Lake at an event called the Top of the Rock. It’s a phenomenal show that will whip up your sense of patriotism and leave you breathless.

Myrtle Beach

You have a few options for great fireworks in Myrtle Beach, but we would recommend Fireworks on the Boardwalk. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk Entertainment District hosts a complete Fourth of July celebration replete with live entertainment. And what goes better with fireworks than music? The fireworks display will be shot off from Second Avenue Pier beginning at 10 p.m. and visitors can view the show from a variety of places up and down the beach in addition to the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

Charleston

Listed as one of the "Top 5 Independence Day Celebrations" by The New York Times, the Fourth of July Fireworks Blast at Patriots Point is your best bet to celebrate the nation’s birth in one of the city’s that saw America come to life. The spectacular fireworks show, set to patriotic music, shoots off from the deck of the U.S.S. Yorktown and explodes over the Charleston Harbor. It’s not to be missed.

Daytona Beach

Take a break from enjoying the waters of Daytona and head over to the Port Orange City Center to enjoy a whole host of patriotic activities leading up to the big fireworks show that night. With entertainment for the kids as well as wonderful food, it’s the place to be if you’re in the mood for patriotic fun!
